Rock Skills Intermediate Climbing Course

Official Mountaineering Ireland Climbing Course

Take a Rock Skills Intermediate Climbing Course. This course takes two days and builds on the climbers existing skills. Rope work, anchors, top and bottom rope set ups, safe belaying are just some of the subjects covered in a structured and progressive way. By the end of the course the student should expect to have covered all the skills necessary to set up and use a top and bottom rope, belay safely and also have had the opportunity to acquire the skills to become a component second to a lead climber.

MI Requirements

Register with MI for the scheme first. Free for under 18s and €22 for adults.  The one off fee covers all parts of the Rock Skills Scheme.
