Rock Skills Introduction is an ideal introduction to climbing outdoors for those who have never tried it before. Because all equipment is supplied and climbing time is maximised you will learn fundamental skills and techniques quickly. You will learn how to tie into the rope and how to move efficiently and safely on rock. Enjoying your time climbing is emphasised. Every effort is made to encourage and equip the participant with the skills and enthusiasm necessary to progress to the next stage of climbing.

(14) Rock Skills Intermediate, Dalkey, 05-06 April 2026. Easter

The Intermediate course takes two days and builds on the climbers existing skills. You will learn rope work, anchors, top and bottom rope systems and safe belaying. So by the end of the course the student should expect to have covered all the skills necessary to set up and use a top and bottom rope, belay safely and also have had the opportunity to acquire the skills to become a competent second a lead climber.
